🛍️Ordering

How do I place an order?
Select your product, choose size, mount type (inside/outside), fabric or material, control option, and quantity. Add to cart and complete checkout. You’ll get a confirmation email right away.
Can I order samples before buying?
Yes—sample swatches are available for many fabrics, colors, and materials. Look for the “Order a Sample” button on product pages or contact support.
I made a mistake. Can I change my order?
Custom orders can usually be changed within 24 hours if production hasn’t started. Email us immediately with your order number and corrected details.

📏Measuring

Inside mount vs outside mount—what’s the difference?
Inside mount fits within the window frame for a clean look; measure the tight opening. Outside mount installs above or around the frame to cover trim and improve light blocking.
What tools do I need to measure?
Steel tape measure, notepad or phone, and (optional) level. Record width in three places and use the narrowest; record height and use the longest.
Can you review my measurements?
Yes! Email photos + measurements to gleamingglassblinds@hotmail.com and we’ll take a look before you place your order.

🎛️Customization Options

What customization choices do I have?
Size, mount type, fabric/material, color, light filtering level, lining, control system (cordless, loop, wand, motorized), and hardware finish. Options vary by product.
Do you offer motorized or smart‑home shades?
Select products support motorization and can integrate with certain smart hubs (availability varies). Contact us with your system (Alexa, Google, etc.) for compatibility guidance.

🛠️Production & Lead Times

How long does custom fabrication take?
Most custom blinds/shades/drapery ship in 3–5 business days after order processing. Large or specialty projects may take longer; we’ll email an updated timeline if needed.
Will production delays affect my order?
Rarely, supply or seasonal volume can extend lead times. We notify you by email if your expected ship date changes.

🚚Shipping & Tracking

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes—standard shipping is free on most U.S. orders. International rates are calculated at checkout.
When will I get my tracking number?
Tracking emails are sent once your order ships. Please allow up to 48 hours for carrier scans to appear.
My order shows multiple tracking numbers—why?
Large or mixed orders often ship in separate cartons (hardware, fabric, oversize rods). Packages may arrive on different days.

🔧Installation

Are installation instructions included?
Yes. Most products ship with printed instructions; many also have downloadable PDF guides on the product page.
What tools do I need to install blinds?
Drill/driver, level, pencil, screws (included), anchors (if needed), and tape measure. For drapery rods over ~72", add center support.
Do you provide professional installation?
We can recommend installers in select areas. Contact support with your ZIP/postal code for availability.

🔁Returns & Exchanges

Are custom products returnable?
Custom items are made to your specs and are non‑returnable unless defective, damaged in transit, or produced outside size tolerance.
Can I return stock (ready‑made) items?
Unused, unopened stock items may be returned within 30 days. Request an RMA before sending anything back.

🛡️Warranty

What warranty do you provide?
Most custom window treatments include a 1‑year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Email your order number, photos, and description of the issue to support. We’ll review and advise on repair, replacement, or parts.

🧼Care & Cleaning

How do I clean fabric shades?
Light dust with a vacuum brush on low suction. Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid soaking. Always test a hidden area first.
Can wooden blinds get wet?
Excess moisture may warp natural wood. Use a dry microfiber cloth; for humid areas choose faux wood or composite materials.

👤Account & Payment

Do I need an account to order?
You can checkout as a guest, but creating an account lets you view order history, track shipments, and save addresses.
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit/debit cards and other payment options supported by our Shopify checkout. Full payment is required for custom orders.

👶Child & Pet Safety

Are corded blinds safe for children?
Loose cords can pose a strangulation risk. Choose cordless, wand, or motorized controls in homes with children or pets. Always secure any remaining cords with cleats out of reach.
Do you sell cordless options?
Yes—many of our products offer cordless or motorized lift systems. Look for the safety icon on product pages.
